  • The club met for lunch at noon at First Presbyterian Church. Due to technical difficulties, the bell was not rung until 12:17 p.m.  
  • At that point Vice President Dale Wexell led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.  John Brown gave the invocation. Ray Defendorf served as photographer and Ernie Danforth was the Cogs editor.
Announcements:   
  • Change over picnic is June 23rd 5-7 pm at McKinney Park.  Andy set up the reservations page and also will send invitations to you directly by email -- just click on the appropriate link in the email to come to the picnic ... or decline. You'll receive a confirmation e-mail after you make your choice. Hope to see you there!!  Just bring your dinner payment when you come. If you didn't receive the invitation email, you can go to our event page to sign up.
  • Jeff’s last meeting as president will be June 16th with the changeover on the 23rd.  He will be on vacation June 30th.
  • Dale recognized the June birthdays; Scott Bloor on the 8th, Dick Puccio on the 19th, Al Lewis on the 22nd, Darin Strong on the 23rd, and Rich Negri on the 28th.  A cacophonous rendition of Happy Birthday was sung, and VP Dale read an appropriate birthday note. Birthdays
  • Ray announced that Clue the Musical will be presented by the Centre Stage Community Theater June 10, 11, and 12 at the Corning Painted Post Middle School and that he himself will be performing the part of Colonel Mustard.  For that announcement he was charged $5.00 
 
Our presenter:  Sue Gruber who was introduced by Ray Defendorf.  Her presentation was on transforming the home into a safe place. Lots of helpful information - a subset of a multi-day course that they present on this subject. You can watch it here.
