 Corning NY August 5: The second phase of the tri-county First Responders Honor Park in Gang Mills NY will be celebrated during the ceremony on 9-11-21, at the park. The Mission: The Park is dedicated to honor and remember First Responders. Primarily those who have served in the Tri-County Region of Steuben, Schuyler and Chemung Counties. They are the first to respond to emergencies to save life, limb, and property from harm. Location: The site is in the Town of Erwin at the corner of South Hamilton Street and Forest Drive in Gang Mills. It is conveniently located off Exit 11 of Interstate I-99. Phase II: An addition to the park is being created at this time; a new bronze statue "The Lifesaver", honoring a firefighter rescuing a Child. The new area also features an expanded green space, sidewalks and displays. 8-5-21 Zoom Club Meeting [
Bill Boland updated the club on the 
Strategic Planning Committee’s role will be assumed by the Executive Committee; the Treasurer’s duties will be re-defined to reflect their importance to the Club; and each member will be asked to serve on at least one committee. Stuart thanked the Governance Committee for its work in re-writing the By-Laws, and he thanked Andy Rochester for planning how computers can take on much of the work routinely performed by individuals.
Ernie read a koala card thank you from a student that we provided books for through our literacy project.
Don Creath gave the club a synopsis of his time working on Community Service Projects throughout the Corning area. The two biggest projects that he highlighted were the up grading of the Veteran's Memorial Park on Park Ave in the city of Corning and the First Responders Honor Park in Gang Mills.
Corning NY August 5, 2021: Corning Rotary is partnering with the City of Corning, and other community organizations to create a Cherry Blossom Trail in Denison Park. The Rotary Cherry Blossom Trail was selected as the club's 100th anniversary project.
