Corning Rotary Weekly Meeting — May 15, 2025

Welcome - President Ernie opened the meeting and welcomed members and guests.

• Guests/ Visiting Rotarians: Pete Winnett; Wendy introduced Mark Holman and Gil introduced Rachael Goyette. Mani introduced Lin Lin.

Announcements
• May 29th: Butterfly Project 3-5 p.m.  at CareFirst Campus; followed by a social hour at Carey's. Here's the signup for the work party. For the 5:30 Social at Carey's - just come!! And bring someone with you ..
• June 6:   Stu told us about the Meals on Wheels signup to help.
• June 12: International Event. Sign-up! Let's get signed up and get the word out to your friends. Tickets available online, at meetings, and at Laura's Studio on Market St.
• June 12: speaker is Kathleen Hallinan. And from Jen, the 6 scholarship recipients will attend!
• July 15: still need donations for the Camp Star baskets at the Golf Tournament. Want to donate? Contact Jan right away.
• Les: is home, recovering from knee surgery. 
• Ray: reported on the Fuzzies Musical unnamed Rotarian. They'll be presenting at the Presbyterian Church on Sunday.
• Paul Harris nominations are due before June 1st.

  • Ernie presented the Nominations for the Board - no changes; approved. No abstentions/no nays.
  • Treasurer Jan presented the Budget: dues will remain the same. Several questions were answered. See the video for details. 
  • Governance representative Dale presented the Bylaws Update:  Motion from the Committee [which has approved the bylaws changes, John B seconded. See the video for details. Voting: Aye. No abstentions/no nays.
