[4-1-21] Pauline Emery, chair of our Literacy Committee, shared Thank You notes from Winfield Elementary School for the recordings of books done by Corning Rotarians as part of the Rotary Reads event. Ernie Danforth, Gil Sweet, Nora Smith, Bill Boland, Ted Goldwyn, Ray Defendorf, Pauline Emery, Dale Wexell and Jan Harvey recorded the books which were then used in both Severn and Winfield Elementary Schools. Normally these volunteers do the readings in person but due to COVID protocols this year, the recordings were professionally made instead by Jennifer Waldow from Hunt Engineering.
