Corning NY; June 8, 2022. Severn School Rotary Reads Event: Thank you for all the help and support! I feel the Severn 2nd graders had a great time. Teachers gave positive feedback from parents and students โค๏ธ about the Rotary Reads Program. After many years of storytelling, I noticed the reaction of the students. They were so engaged even with so many distractions and they seemed to crave connection. Please know, what we are doing makes them feel recognized, cared about, and supported. Having them participate in stories, and celebrating reading was heartwarming โฅ๏ธ and worth every bit of effort!!!
We had ice-cream left over and the kindergartens were able to have ice-cream. Thanks to the CPP Alternative HS students(Rotaract) they served up ๐ ice-cream to sweet peeps!!!
Today was heartwarming ๐ thank you all who helped make this happen!!!
