2026 NASCAR Rotary Volunteers for Camp Star

A big THANK YOU to all that signed up. Registrations area now closed.
It is with great pleasure I announce that Watkins Glen International is once again soliciting our help in the NASCAR volunteer booths. Many members of our clubs have done this in the past but there are many who have not. I am looking to you for help getting volunteers signed up to assist with this need.
When: Friday, May 8; Saturday, May 9; and Sunday, May 10
What we will do: volunteers will work at the information booths for a their shifts. The track provides us with the materials we need to give educated guesses for the questions we will be asked by the NASCAR fans. It is an easy job and gives us time to enjoy each others company, help excited fans get where they are going and help answer any questions they may have. You do not have to know anything about road racing, just general knowledge is often all you need.
How this helps:
- all total, we should be able to earn over a $2100 donation for 3 days of service.
- also, each volunteer is given a general admission ticket to give them entry to the track on other days when they are not volunteering.
- once a Rotarian is signed up, I will make arrangements to get the general admission ticket to them. Great opportunity for all those "wanna be" race fans, lol.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE....... the race is coming soon and I have 35+ positions to fill. Some Rotarians may want to sign up for more than one shift and/or day. That is a perfectly acceptable.
Camp Star appreciates all the time and energy to keep the camp going strong.
TO REGISTER [from Corning Rotary Andy]:
- click the blue box at left and choose the time slot[s] you want
- click the signup box at the right of that day/time
- member type: not a member [choose that choice]
- info: enter first, last, email, phone
- click SAVE
That's it! Information and confirmations will go to the email you supplied!! You'll get a confirmation from the system when you register. You'll also get another communication just before the event - with any additional informaiton from Bridgette.
