Jan Harvey did COGS Announcements: - Polio has returned to the United States, more specifically to Rockland County, New York where an unvaccinated person has contracted polio.   - Camp STAR update: Jan thanked Dr. Bob Cole, Atty. Bob Cole, Ernie Danforth and Cathy Buck for their help with our club's Camp STAR night. We held a dance party for the campers complete with DJ Curtis from Bobby K Entertainment. Dessert (chocolate chip cookies from Wegman's) was served. DJ Curtis spun some great dance tunes with many of the campers singing along (making Bob wonder how they learned all those lyrics!). DJ Curtis also led the campers in several group dances including the Electric Slide, Chicken Dance and the Hokey Pokey. The campers had a great time as did the Rotarians!
- Bill Boland noted that Holiday Evening with Rotary is scheduled for Dec 10th at 171 Cedar Arts Center. The program will include a magician and a presentation of The Holiday Dating Game, written by our own Mayor Boland. This event will take the place of the holiday dinner.
- Also from Bill Boland: We have received resolutions from Phil Palmesano commemorating our club's 100th Anniversary. If you would like a copy of the resolution, please contact Bill.
- The Club is making a $2,000 donation to the Kentucky Flood Disaster Relief Fund through the Pikeville, Kentucky Rotary Club.
Today's program was Barb Blumer telling the tale of what really is a moment in time: the City Hall's People Wall. Barb's quest to document the history of the wall and the people in the photographs (19 of whom are Rotarians!) is really a labor of love.
