A big THANK YOU to all that signed up. Registrations area now closed.
It is with great pleasure I announce that Watkins Glen International is once again soliciting our help in the NASCAR volunteer booths. Many members of our clubs have done this in the past but there are many who have not. I am looking to you for help getting volunteers signed up to assist with this need.
When: Friday, May 8; Saturday, May 9; and Sunday, May 10
What we will do: volunteers will work at the information booths for a their shifts. The track provides us with the materials we need to give educated guesses for the questions we will be asked by the NASCAR fans. It is an easy job and gives us time to enjoy each others company, help excited fans get where they are going and help answer any questions they may have. You do not have to know anything about road racing, just general knowledge is often all you need.
How this helps:
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE....... the race is coming soon and I have 35+ positions to fill. Some Rotarians may want to sign up for more than one shift and/or day. That is a perfectly acceptable. There is no meeting on this date. The normal THURSDAY meeting has been moved to the previous day to accommodate the Radisson. It is on Wednesday and is the Literacy Student Reader'sLuncheon.
