Registrations area now c losed.   It is with great pleasure I announce that Watkins Glen Internati onal is once again soliciting our help in the NASCAR volunteer booths. Man y members of our clubs have done this in the past but there are many who h ave not. I am looking to you for help getting volunteers signed up to assi st with this need.   When: Friday\, May 8\; Saturday\, May 9\; and Sunday \, May 10    What we will do: volunteers will work at the information b ooths for a their shifts. The track provides us with the materials we need to give educated guesses for the questions we will be asked by the NASCAR fans. It is an easy job and gives us time to enjoy each others company\, help excited fans get where they are going and help answer any questions t hey may have. You do not have to know anything about road racing\, just ge neral knowledge is often all you need.   How this helps: all total\, we s hould be able to earn over a $2100 donation for 3 days of service. also\, each volunteer is given a general admission ticket to give them entry to t he track on other days when they are not volunteering. once a Rotarian is signed up\, I will make arrangements to get the general admission ticket t o them. Great opportunity for all those "wanna be" race fans\, lol.  PLE ASE\, PLEASE\, PLEASE....... the race is coming soon and I have 35+ positi ons to fill. Some Rotarians may want to sign up for more than one shift an d/or day. That is a perfectly acceptable. Camp Star appreciates all the ti me and energy to keep the camp going strong.
